Terms of Service.

Effective · 2026-05-22 · v1.0

This is the agreement that governs your use of StarkDo — the website, the app, the Telegram bot, and the self-hosted edition. We've tried to write it the same way we wrote everything else: in plain language, without making the legal noise bigger than it has to be.

Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between StarkDo ("StarkDo", "we", "us") and the person or entity accessing the website at starkdo.ai, signing up for an account, or running the self-host edition ("you"). By using the service, you accept these Terms.

Eligibility & accounts

You need to be 16 or older to create a StarkDo account, and legally able to enter contracts. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for everything that happens under your account. Please tell us right away if you suspect a compromise.

Use of the service

StarkDo is a calm task system. We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the service in line with these Terms, your plan, and our documentation.

We do our best to keep it up and to make the rhythm gentle. We don't guarantee continuous availability, especially during incidents or planned maintenance — and we don't punish you when life intervenes.

Acceptable use

You won't, and won't help anyone else:

We may suspend or terminate access immediately for material breach of these rules.

Fees & payment

Solo and Self-host are free. The Pro plan is billed monthly or annually at the rate stated at checkout. Fees are exclusive of taxes; you are responsible for any applicable VAT or sales tax. Trials roll into the paid plan unless you cancel.

Refunds are not provided except where required by mandatory consumer law. If you're unhappy and within a reasonable window, write to [email protected] — we tend to be soft about it.

Your data

Your tasks, captures, voice transcripts, lists, and the metadata around them are yours. We won't sell them, won't share them beyond what's necessary to run the service, and won't train AI models on them.

For details on how we collect, store, and protect personal information, see the Privacy Policy.

AI providers

StarkDo's AI features (Top 3 picker, natural-language capture) call out to an AI model — by default ours, optionally one you bring. Your prompts are sent to the model only at the moment of inference and are protected by data processing terms with the provider that forbid training and retention.

If you bring your own provider key in self-host or Pro, the provider's terms govern that traffic in addition to ours.

Intellectual property

StarkDo retains all rights, title, and interest in the service, including source code (other than the self-host edition's published components), product design, trademarks, and the StarkDo brand.

You retain ownership of everything you create inside StarkDo. We claim no licence to it beyond what's needed to operate the service for you. Feedback you send us may be used freely.

Self-host edition

The self-host edition is released under a permissive open-source licence (see the repository). You may run it on your own infrastructure, modify it, and use it for non-commercial or commercial purposes within the licence terms. We provide best-effort community support, no SLAs.

Third-party services

StarkDo integrates with third-party providers (Telegram, calendar providers, AI model vendors, payment processors). Your use of those integrations is also subject to their terms. We are not responsible for outages or changes in third-party services.

Warranties & disclaimers

We provide the service with reasonable care and skill. Except as expressly stated, the service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

Indemnification

You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless StarkDo from any third-party claim arising out of (a) the data you put into StarkDo, (b) your use of the service in breach of these Terms or applicable law, or (c) your violation of third-party rights.

Term & termination

These Terms remain in effect for as long as you use the service or hold a StarkDo account. Either party may terminate for material breach with 30 days' written notice if the breach is not cured. We may suspend access immediately for security, legal, or acceptable-use reasons. Upon termination, your right to use the service ends, outstanding fees become due, and we will make your data available for export for a reasonable period before deletion.

Changes to the service or terms

We may update the service or these Terms from time to time. Material changes to the Terms will be announced in the app and emailed to account holders at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you don't accept a change, your remedy is to terminate the affected subscription before it takes effect.

Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. The courts of Tel Aviv-Jaffa have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms, except where mandatory consumer-protection rules in your country of residence require otherwise.
